There’s a day to come that already have had at least two meanings for most of you: Ascension Day and Father’s Day.
We’d like to give this day another meaning in 2013 that can be taken as a mixture of both or an alternative to these others. do as you like to do, but celebrate with passion, as we do.

#1 Curse This Ocean from Caligari, IT / Frankfurt, GER
What is Hardcore, Punk and a bit of Black Metal attitude in the mix if not a confusing and furious monster of sound that won’t lert ifself tame by mens hand. Acknowledging the fact, that kingdoms will fall and it’s citizens will be cursed and burned, CURSE THIS OCEAN are facing the truth about the worlds end, willing to be it’s executioner. Their debut album Lightbringer, filled with anger and melodic rhytms, proclaims , that no one is going to heaven this next thursday.

#2 Severe from Brussels, BEL
A beast rises and takes no prisoners on it’s way to hell. Severe accompanie Curse This Ocean on the path through violent waves and bursting holiness and they are doing well. Armed with riffs sharp as swords, beats like hammers and a demoniac voice they’ll turn the meaning of that day into it’s dark and dooming direction.

April is comin’ for us, let’s take the competition. It’ll be a month bulged with awesome opportunities for great live music around here.
Right ahead there’s the first of those dates to keep in mind:
04th April 2013 - Sunwølf + DIN Martin
Doors: 20.00 Uhr

# 1: SUNWØLF from Leeds, UK.
Drone is known for being constant without that much dalliance, but also for a heavy load of electronics. Sunwølf take the advantage of smooth and slow changing songs but use the classics of organic music to create such quiet atmospheres with bits of sensitivity and darkness wrapping your mind while listening, but you just become aware about that after the music is gone. It’s their first european tour, but Sunwølf already serve their 2nd longplayer “Midnight Moon”.

# 2: DIN MARTIN from Halle, Germany.
DIN MARTIN were completely new to our ears, but nontheless we’re happy to have the opportunity to welcome this ambitious three-piece, that has the ability to link popmusic to electronica and shoegaze music in such a beautiful way. They’re bringing along their first full length “The Second before you Faint”. Don’t miss out on this band!

These are the facts: 17th March 2013 - ENEMIES + CROUPIER

# 1: ENEMIES from Kilcoole, Ireland.
One day in september 2011, the song “Gabbi Gabby” has been the spawn point of a relation between the music of Enemies and my heart. Thenceforward it wasn’t possible to stand up to this band. Again and again between all those vexing rhythms, complex melodies and progressively shifting of songparts perfectly harmonising instruments rise up to memorable parts that will surely keep sticking into one’s head.
Due to it’s simplicity the bandname probably does not connote obviously the energy and perfection, that sheer joy these four guys carry within any note they play togehter. But it seems they were assigned to meet and complement each other to constitute such complex but catchy songs that will surely occupy a place in your head AND heart.

# 2: CROUPIER from Wicklow, Ireland.
Contrary to Enemies, Croupier were completely new to one’s ears but nonetheless it was clear from the outset: They will stay in mind and match perfectly for a tour together with Enemies. But Croupier is a distinct entity of excellent music, it’s a combined concinity of mathrock breaks and indie grooves, the complexity goes hand in hand with the encapsulated application of the instruments they use, among whom besides drums, guitars and bass guitars also electronics and keyboards can be found. To bear in mind that a varying voice, switching between screaming and singing, finally rounds up the result.
Croupier’s music is a sophisticated mix of ingredients that might seem exhausting, but couldn’t be assembled more splendidly.

AKELA from Lüdenscheidt, northern germany just released the “Void” EP in january and go round in germany present these tunes live. to have an idea about their sound go press play and taste some really good dark post-hardcore mixed up with a little noise and grunge.
their range of musical inspiration is wide and that for sure can be explored on the Orientation LP, released in 2011.

To kick off the evening we invited AXES from Roßwein. Kicking off can be taken literally, cause Axes aren’t modest. Mixing up Punk, Hardcore and Stoner disembogues in a heavy wall of sound. it’s time to mosh again!

Let’s welcome SPORT from Lyon. They create some truly beautiful punk/indie music in the vein of Promise Ring mixed up with modern stuff like RVIVR or Big Kids. as their music plays pictures like riding your bike into the sunset and hanging in the park with friends on warm summer days coming up into ones head and you’ll know everything is in it’s place. On the road to present their well assumed first record COLORS we’re proud to give those buddy’s a home for one evening.

As some time passed till we found another band to round up the line-up for the evening, it’s as much more pleasant to have found CLAIM from Dresden, shaing members with Garda. It has been kinda love at first sight, respectivly first listen. Imagine straight-forward indie guitar music with delicate soft vocals and a touch of The Cure united with the energy of modern bands like Prawn.
